Here was my spring schedule
I have 1 in Minor little league (ds1) and 1 in T-ball (ds2) 9year old BB, (and a 2 year old that wants to play really bad lol) Here was our spring schedule
Monday, Wednesday, Friday ds2 practice 5:30-6:30 ds1 practice 6:00-7:30
Tuesday, Thursday ds2 game 5:00-6:15 ds1 game 6:30-8:30 (usually gets over late)
Saturday ds1 practice 1:00-2:30
The games are all on the same field so those aren't too big of a problem, I spend a lot of time running around like a crazy person on practice days though. My biggest problem though is when do you eat dinner? By the time the games are over we're all so exhausted the last thing I want to do is make dinner. By the time the kids have eaten, gotten baths, teeth brushed, etc... it's 10:30 and they have school in the morning! School will be over in 2 weeks but I don't know if we're going to make it till then. Their father does not live with us and works out of town so he's no help. I do have family and friends around that can help out occasionally, but the rest of the time I feel like I'm just playing catch-up. We do a lot of food in the crockpot but even that takes some time after we're home to get the rest of the meal together. We don't do fast food either, so that's out. I'm just wondering how other people balance it all. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. :)
I sure know how other parents do it! We have just entered the world of sports and it scheduling. My son has Tae Kwon Do on Monday and Wednesdays and has soccer on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays.... I have a real problem finding healthy/quick meals for the family myself. We have taken to eating a small dinner before all of our activities. This means there are days we are eating dinner at 4:45. I usually throw together tacos, burgers, chicken breast off the grill, or sometimes even PB&J or Hamburger Helper..... Whatever works. Then when we get home we have a snack like fruit and milk or PB&J depends on how much they gobbled down before we had to leave. Like you, I can't wait until school is out for the summer, by then we will be done with soccer and will begin T-ball.... would love to learn what everyone else is doing to keep sane. Thanks.
