Darren L. Johnson, M.D.
Dr. Johnson is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Kentucky, where he is Director of Sports Medicine and serves as head orthopedic surgeon for the Kentucky Wildcats.

The author of over 90 peer-reviewed articles and 20 book chapters, Dr. Johnson has made presentations at numerous national and international meetings on a variety of topics related to knee and shoulder problems among athletes and is a perennial selection as one of the "Best Doctors in America" and one of America's "Top Doctors."
He received his B.S. degree from the University of California-Riverside/UCLA program in Biomedical Sciences, and his M.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. He did his orthopedic residency at the University of Southern California, completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the University of Pittsburgh as well as two traveling fellowships.
Dr. Johnson lives in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife and three children.
