Diving: Pronunciation: \?d?v\
to plunge into water intentionally and especially headfirst
Diving can be a very dangerous activity and sport, especially when un-supervised. If your child wants to be a diver, either recreationally or competitively, it is imperative that they must take the proper diving lessons by a certified coach. Most accidents happen because inexperienced divers have the wrong form and the wrong perception, or judgment, of how much room they have between the board and the pool, or the depth of water.
MomsTeam's goal is to provide comprehensive information on diving: advice on the equipment needed and how to buy it, a primer on the rules of the sport, and videos and advice from experts, parents, and manufacturers of diving gear.
But to do that we are going to need your help. If you are a parent of a child who dives or has dived, we hope you will share what you have learned with other MomsTeam parents. Please consider writing a blog, contributing an article, posting on and/or hosting a Forum, or becoming a diving expert. If you know of someone who used to play or coach diving who has knowledge to share, ask him or her to join. Together we can make MomsTeam a true community of sports parents!
